Lottie & Eugenia Shaver, Twins, Colorado Springs, CO. Photo on eBay NOW.
I have NOTHING to do with this auction or the photo.I do however attempt to rescue old photos that I find at auctions, estate sales or antique shops, that are identified. The description for this one is below. The hard part is that this one ends in less than 12 hours.I've bid on it, but there is a reserve price (the lowest amount that the seller will accept.)I don't know what it is, but if you're related to these girls, it might be worth obtaining this treasure, if you're willing to pay the reserve price.I have sent the seller a note and asked what the reserve is.If he/she is timely in responding I'll try to post it on the forum.I don't have an endless supply of $$ to go further than I have in bidding at this time.I hope someone can rescue this treasure.

Absolutely stunning. Highest quality and in great condition. This is an original 8th grade graduation picture taken in 1916.A large 12 1/2 by 18 1/2 inches. Original antique coloured photo which is in the original curved glass frame and looks like it is done either in silk, or a silk finish; I cant tell as I know absolutely nothing of photography. I do know that the twins were from Colorado Springs and were named Lottie and Eugenia Shaver and were extremely wealthy heiresses who inherited tons of money and lived and traveled the world togather until they died years ago a few weeks apart in thier 90`s. This photo was top notch and no expense was spared at the time of the making, and it was loved and cherished and handled with care. The plaster finish frame is heavy and now I feel like it is gilded over fine plaster finished wood of some sort. Like I said it is near mint and very sweet. It is heavy for its size; I will package extremely carefully.
