Hello Dorothy,and all other Sheerans.
I have my research results from the Ulster Historical Foundation at last.
Here is the Sheeran information.
A Sheeran connection to my branch of the McClorys was not confirmed by them, apart from Sarah Sheeran to my great grandfather James Mcclory.[see other messages]
At Aghaderg RC Church, on 19 Dec, 1861:
Daniel Sheeran to Elizabeth McClory.
Witnesses were Patrick McClory and rose Campbell.
No details of fathers given.
They say they can infer that this information suggests that Daniels father was Phillip, the father of 'my' Sarah Sheeran. All true genealogists cringe now!
At the same church:
Catherine Sheeran to Arthur Lavery on 31 Jan, 1845
No other details given, although they said the records showed the names of the witnesses
Marriage of William sheeran to Annie McCabe in Loughbrickland presbyterian church in 1874
No further details given
Griffiths Valuation records 1864:
Phillip Sheeran listed in Glaskermore. 3 entries of Sheerans found, all in Glaskermore. No further details given.
Tithe records 1823_ 1838.

In 1828 - No Sheerans listed
Valuation Revisions 1860_ 1930
In Glaskermore, at number 7 and 10b, Phillip Sheeran is succeeded by Daniel Sheeran by 1873.
Daniel also takes over number 8 by 1900.
Phillip had originally leased a 3 acre farm from Amelia Marsden.
1901 Census
Household of Daniel sheeran, 54 yrs, farmer
wife: Jane, 35 yrs
daughters:
Sarah Jane 8yrs
Mary, 7yrs.
All could read and write and were born in County Down.
In another household: [of John Fletcher]
Daniel sheeran, 17 yrs, farm servant.
Probated Wills:
Edward Sheeran of Glaskermore, dated 1809
And, that's it!
Hope this is of some use to someone out there.
It sure was a great dissapointment to me after such a long wait
