William Shehane from Lancaster, S. C.

My great grandfather was William Shehane born between 1850-1860. He married Jane Whittaker who was born abt. 1860 also. They were probably married abt 1880. William and Jane had 2 children. They were born in Lancaster, South Carolina. Their names were Bessie Henretta Shehane and her twin brother Francis Shehane born abt. April 1881-1883. William died when the twins were barely a few years old and Jane remarried a George King and has another daughter named Bertha. I have no idea who William's parents or grandparents were or where they were from. I can't seem to get a lead on William at all. The only thing I have to go on is a death certificate of Bessie's (she was my grandmother)that states that she was born in Lancaster, S.C. and that her father's name was William Shehen or Shehane and her mother's name was Jane Whitaker. I found Jane and George on a 1900 York County, S.C. Census and the 3 children were listed as Kings, but Grandmother always told me that Mr. George King raised her from a small kid and treated her as if she were his own child. So on some of Granny Bessie's paper work, she has her maiden name as Shehane on some and King on others. I never met her twin brother Francis or her half sister Bertha. So, I have no idea of who they married or where they moved, as Granny died while I was a small child and I never got around to asking her about her Shehane family. My mother had me in her early 40's and by the time I got around to asking her if she knew anything about the Shehane's, she had been diagnosed with Alzheimers and could not remember any of them. So the only name I have to go on is a William Shehane who died sometime in the early 1880's. If any of these names or the information sounds familiar, please contact me at my e-mail address. I would greatly appreciate any help.
