Not much luck yesterday. Census was hard to read.Took a lot of time. Need to go over them again. That was the Lancaster Co. S.C. Census. Have to go back to library and pull up Ancestry Library edition for other states census.
Had a reply from S.C, State Archives. Have to go there and do my own research or hire someone. Not up to either just now.
Just realized an saw many spellings for Mary Steele/Steale/Steal/Steel.With the different spellings of Shehane this coud make a big difference in the data we see in all those web pages.Which is true, need confirmation.
