VALENTINE SHELLENDER was born 1777 in Germany, and died January 22, 1873 in Chester Co., PA. married IRENE STRICKLAND. She was born 1779, and died before 1850. Valentine came to American from Ettenheim, Baden, Germany with his brother Lecourt Shellender in 1817. Valentine and Lecourt are buried Oxford Cemetery Chester Co., PA. Irene is believed to be buried there as well.
They had the following children:
CATHERINE SHELLENDER born January 16, 1820 in Chester Co., PA, and died July 04, 1910 in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio.
JOHN SHELLENDER born August 26, 1826 in Lower Oxford, Chester Co., PA died March 01, 1862 in Lower Oxford, Chester Co., Pa.
JOSEPH SHELLENDER born 1824 in Lower Oxford, Chester Co., PA, and died August 09, 1907 in New Castle, Delaware.
ELIZABETH SHELLENDER was born 1822 in Lower Oxford, Chester Co., PA. And died March 22, 1856. She is buried in Oxford Cem, Chester Co., PA
