Thanks for looking into this.
I believe John (age 71) is the father of the Thomas and John listed as heads of HHs on the 1870 census. James at 26 Years old, is a mystery.

Thanks, too, for the info on John Pink and Fannie Shelnutt. I was surprised that your mom showed Fannie's parents to be John and Sara.

I had convinced myself that Fannie's parents were Thomas and Lucy A ?Henderson Jackson. This family was listed on a Haralson Co. census along with the Shelnuts and had a female Frances about the same age as John Pink. Additionally, many of John Pink and Fannie's children's names coincide with the family of Thomas and Lucy (not that any of the names are all that uncommon).

Do you know how your mom verified Fannie's parentage?

Thanks again.
