I did find today in Familytreemakers Genealogy Library from the book
Campbell County Georgia Marriages 1829 to 1850 where John Shelnutt married Edna Cohorn on January 10, 1841.

I believe that the Edna Cohorn and Edna Cochran are probably the same person.

So it is I think pretty safe to assume that
Elizabeth White was deceased by then. Speculation that she may have died from childbirth complications with the birth of Nancy Jane Shelnut b. March 23, 1840.
