Thank you for the helpful information.

Yet another interesting Shelton, Pace, and Montague connection is John Thomas Pace (1805-1888) married Louisa Shelton (1808-1866). Louisa is the daughter of Wyatt Shelton and Mary Montague. John T. is the son of Spencer Pace and Mary Haymes. Louisa's brother is Abraham Montague Shelton.

We have a letter dated Benton, Kentucky August 18, 1858 from Louisa (Lucy) Pace to her brother A.M. Shelton stating that all is well with the family and hoping for a letter as to how they are getting along. Abraham Montague Shelton's first wife, Jane Latham, had died and his second wife was Sarah Shelton daughter of Asher Shelton and Mary Green. All were living in Todd county, Kentucky at the time.

(The above dates and the parents of John T. are from other sources and not from any research I have completed.)

Mike Shelton
