I am trying to trace some of my family lineage.
I am not sure of the spelling of Shephard..or if it is Shepard.
However, I wanted to write because of what you said about there being Spanish in your family. I heard the same explanation from my father.
He was born in Newquay Cornwall in 1915.
His mother's maiden name was Shephard. I believe her first name was Clemintine.
I think their family ran an Inn.
I know she had siblings.
I know there was a Leonard Shephard (either a brother or uncle) who ran/managed a wool or sweater factory in Newqauy Cornall...I am guessing sometime between the 1925-1950. I am just guessing.
I know the last given address was 6 Sydney in Newquay.
I understand the street numbers have changed since then.
There was an uncle Percy or Percival Shephard who painte Cornish sea side scenes in water color. I believe he moved to Montreal Canada.
I know my grandmother married a George Spencer and they later moved to Montreal Canada. Later they moved to New Haven Conn. US.
Does any of this fit in with any of your research?
Any tips for me to follow?
Thanks.
