Hi Gary--There's quite a bit on the web now about the Shera family from Ireland that settled in Ohio and Indiana. Try a Google search for the name Caleb Shera + Laird. Through the generations that name has survived and it is often associated with the name Laird or Leard. Other names associated with the family are Glover, Lytle or Lyttle as well as Shafer, Crawford and Munns. Good luck and let me know if I can be of further help.
