My father in law is a relative to line of Wesley Sherer's for at least 3 generations, I feel it is a family name. My husband's father changed the name to Shears in 1916 caused by WWI. My father in law is very interested in the name as it relates to him.
Any information would be helpful. His father Wesley Sherer was born in Paris, KY., b.1901.
