       The 1840 Census for Ohio, Ross Co. Paxton township lists a William Sherow with 2 M 10-15, 1 M 15-20, 1 M 40-50, 1 F 10-15, 1 F 15-20 & 1 F 40-50.
       I think that the following are the names of his wife and children.

WILLIAM SHERO was born Abt. 1798 in PA. He married SARAH _____. She was born Abt. 1790 in DE.       
Children of WILLIAM SHERO and SARAH _____ are:
       i.       THOMAS2 SHARO, b. Abt. 1818, OH; d. Aft. 1900; m. (1) MARY ANN LUCAS, 12 Jun 1847, Ross Co. OH; b. Abt. 1827, OH; d. Bef. 1875; m. (2) HARRIETT LUCAS, 21 Apr 1875, Pike Co., IL; b. May 1835, OH; d. 1922.
       ii.       JOHN SHARO, b. Abt. 1827, OH; d. 26 Feb 1872, Time, Pike Co. IL; m. HARRIETT LUCAS, 03 Nov 1853, Ross Co., Ohio; b. May 1835, OH; d. 1922.
       iii.       ELENOR SHERROW, b. Abt. 1827, OH; m. BENJAMIN BROWN, 11 Dec 1845, Ross Co, OH; b. Abt. 1824, OH.
       iv.       WILLIAM SHERO, b. Abt. 1828, OH.
v.        ELIZABETH SHERROW, b. Abt. 1830, OH; m. JOHN REYNOLDS, 25 Jan 1849, Ross Co, OH; b. Abt. 1814, DE.

Everyone of the above individuals are found on the same page of the 1850 Ohio Census for Ross Co., Paxton township.
Family # 939 consists of Thomas Shearer, his wife Mary, and Harriett Lucas.
Family # 941 consists of William Shero, his wife Sarah, and his children William & John.
Family # 942 consists of John Reynolds and his wife Elizebeth.
Family # 943 consists of Benjamin Brown and his wife Elender.
