Hi Joan

Gary's father most likely was William Roth Shill. William is the brother of both Jacob Fisher and George. There father is Jacob Shill (Schell). I use the Schell spelling because his father is Lawrence Schell, mother is Elizabeth (Prugh) Shill. Jacob is in out family bible. He is the brother to my ggg grandfather. I have more information but I am not at home and don't have my file. I use another computer with the same e-mail address. The link to Gary came about because of his fathers name. He said it was William R. Shill and father was Oliver V. Shill. I asked him if his fathers middle name was Roth and he said yes. So that means his dad is named after his grandfather who would be Oliver V's dad. I don't think there can be too many Roth middle names. Do you think I can be on the right track? He says the birthdate of the Oliver I have and his grandpa's could be the same. It made sense to me. Gary is 70 and that would put his grandfathers around 1863. You can check on Lawrence's family on familysearch.com. I know the name is correct because I have his death records for him and his wife. They are both buried in Ohio. I also sent a letter to another decendent of Jacob. I hope to get a quick response. This also may connect to your Joseph Line. What information do you have on your ancestors. I have contact with a couple of 4th cousins. One from Iowa and one from Idaho. Also I met with one of Henry and Jacobs, sister's decendents from Indiana. Most of my information can be backed up with one source or another.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Caryn
