Looking for the family of Andrew Shimfessel who was born in Germany. He married Margaret Becker on 19 Apr 1773 in Goshenhoppen Church, Bally PA.

He was a Revolutionary War soldier, enlisted in 1780 and served as a Pvt 5th class in Capt. Samuel Elliott's 2nd Company, 5th Battalion, Lancaster County Militia, later ordered to serve in Northumberland Co. Pa; place of residence at time of enlistment was Breckknock or Carnavon Township.
