Hi Helen
Thanks so much for answering my post. At first glance I do not recognize any of the people you mention. There does seem to be a connection to Va., however.

According to family records, my John b. 1806 in Virginia to Charles Shipley and Elizabeth (Betsey) Bailey, with the family moving to Ohio later on. I have no information on where he was actually born, but I have traced him through several states, three wives, several children down to me.

I have been trying to move back from Charles and Elizabeth without much luck. Even though my family records show Charles as being born in Maryland, I cannot connect him to the Shipleys Of Maryland or another Charles Shipley family listed in that publication, but not in the main line from Adam.
If you have not seen a copy of The Shipleys of Maryland, you might want to consider checking it out. The latest three volume edition can be purchased, but it is expensive $150.00. It may also be available from your Library.

Anyway this is a long way to say I cannot help, but I will keep your post on file and if there is a connection later,I will let you know.

Alan Shipley
