Shipleys of MD, 2002, says that Benjamin SHIPLEY (6 Aug. 1751 - 22 July 1828, dates per tombstone) lived on a farm later owned by Dr. Luke Mercier SHIPLEY.
Stone for Amelia [HOBBS] SHIPLEY says she d. 30 July 1859, in her 90th year. They married 13 Aug. 1791, & had

{Elizabeth, or was she by Benjamin's first marriage?}
Eliza {1796 - 1875, m. _ HIPSLEY}
Nathan (16 Oct. 1797 - 2 Mar. 1865) m. Maria HAWKINS, b. 1811, MD {but ch. b. 1822+, so if Maria was b. 1811, there must have been a prior wife}.
Hamutal {b. ca. 1801, m. ROBOSSON}
{Amelia, b. ca. 1803}
Mary Ann {15 Mar. 1806 - 1891, m. HIPSLEY}
Rachel {b. 1810, m. BECKLAY / BERKELEY?}
Joshua H. (20 Nov. 1811 - 6 Apr. 1880, bu. Mt. View Cem., Howard Co., MD) m. 10 Feb. 1831, Mary Ann ROBOSSON (28 Nov. 1810 - 27 Mar. 1890).
{Margaret, b. 1813?}

Parts between { } were not in the book.

In the book, the two sons were listed first and were the only children with any additional information, but if the parents m. 1791...

Benjamin shipley m1. ca. 1770, Rachel FROST {or Agnes SHORT?}, & had Richard Ayres {1771 - 1816}, Benjamin {1775 - 1827+}, John, Francis, Lucy, Caleb, Henry, Margaret {?}, & Amelia {?}

Benjamin's will was pr. 31 July 1829; Amelia's, 2 Aug. 1859.

Have you verified or disproved any of the above?
