The Lamoni Chronicle
March 17, 1904

Silas S. SHIPPY and Harriet POWELL, were untied in the holy bonds of matrimony Sunday evening at seven o'clock, Elder H. A. STEBBINS officiating. The ceremony was performed at the future home of the bride and groom, which was already furnished and awaiting their occupancy.

Immediately following the solemnization of the rites and after the congratulations the company, consisting of only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties, surrounded the tables groaning under their load of good things in an adjoining room.

attendance. The groom has for years been a (this part cut off) the bride also being engaged in the folding rooms of the same establishment. Both have a host of friends, all of whom join us in extending the usual congratulations.
