Zebulon Shippy- Loyalist
Posted by: John Sheppy (ID *****6049) Date: August 03, 2007 at 21:11:06

Zebulon (Zebedee) Shippy was born about 1745 in Smithfield, RI. Prior to the American Revolution he lived in Dutchess County, NY. He joined the British about 1777 and was with the British forces throughout the American Revolution and was evacuated to Nova Scotia in 1783.

Does anyone know if there were other Shippys (Shippees etc.) who remained loyal to the British during the Revolution?

Alternatively, which RI Shippys served with the American forces in the American Revolution?
