I apologize--I meant to say that Andrew McLeish, not Thomas Shippy, was from Scotland. I think that it was getting late when I wrote my last message (C: I don't actually have any evidence that Andrew was Scotish, but on an ancestor chart that was passed out at a family reunion, I have the name "Andrew Highland McLeish, Scotland, British soldier" written down as Frances father. I haven't been able to find out yet who made the chart in order to see if they know anything else about him, but I'm still searching. Have you had a chance to compare the pedigree for Amy Montross at familysearch.com with what you found in Dallas? I know that some of the files at that site have been verified, but others have not.
