Shipton/Yoxall 1651 Court proceedings

In "olde yoxall" by Betty Housecroft (search online)Appendix 3 she gives details of the proceedings of the 16th October 1651 Court Baron of Denzill Hollys.

Henry Shipton was fined the sum of 2d sterling for failing to maintain his portion of the fence between Bridgefield and Bondfield. These two fields are illustrated in the sketch map included as Appendix 2 of this document.

I am unable to offer any links to this Henry Shipton - possibly you can identify him in your Shipton researches.

I hope it can add a little colour to your trees.
