Yes,David, this is the same line, I'm sure. Actually I am descended from the Chamberlaine family. Richard Shipton married Rebecca Chamberlaine 10 May 1848. They were from the Stinsford Parish, Bockhampton, Dorset Co., England. The only information I have on Richard is that he married Rebecca (daughter to John Chamberlaine and Eleanor nee Coward). Also I know that Richard's father was also named Richard. I am always looking to fill in my computer program, from whatever angle, so would be interested to know what you have on the Shiptons as they relate to Rebecca.
