hey GArry,
I do not have the date of John and Betsy's marriage...that is what I've been looking for for so long!! I do however have a time frame based on some information that my grandmother found years ago...Jackie or "Perky" Shock was born in 1822( possible marriage time 1821 or 1822 for John and Betsy) Betsy Shock b. 1824 , Tom John b.1825..Sally b.1826...Mary b.1827(my grandmother lists these as being born in Va. George Washington shock born March 10, 1829 Warren County Ky. , Samuel Willis b. 1831 ARk., Susany b. 1834 ARk. , Lysie Jane b. 1836 Ark., William Anderson B. 1838 also in Ark..Possibly John's wife BEtsy died during this time...has been said to be 1839...I would like your email address so I can send you some scanned pages of some vital info. I have accumulated... you would be interested in it..I am hapy to know that Henry Shock(Schock) raised his family for the most part in MO.but John Shock Sr. obviously stayed in Lancaster...My grandmother also said John Shock, Sr. was a blacksmith...email me at Missyonweb@aol.com....
this has been very enlightening for me I hope for you as well!
