I am new to the research side, but I am a descendant of Henry Shock, via Jacob Shock et al. Descendants of Thurman Shock still have a reunion in Gilmer County every 2 years. We were there in 2000, and visited the town of Shock, and the cemetary at Rosedale, where many family members are buried. This may be a good starting place.
