History of Wayne Co. Iowa pp 340,341 m- Alexander Shock (born 1822 Pike Co. Ohio, Grandson of Henry the immigrant - child of Henry & Elizabeth Holzapfl) vignette - "In the spring of 1853 he came to Iowa with his cousin Alexander Duffield. ......Mr. Duffield lived in Wayne Co. until 1856 when he went to Missouri, and later to California.

Earlier records are in Green briar Co. Va.

Henry Shock - immigrant from Germany - VA to Ohio, Alexander to Iowa - Alexander is the grandfather of Earl Hill, Meridian, Idaho.
