Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

MY MOTHER'S FAMILY CAME FROM EATON, OH IN PREBLE COUNTY. THE SHOCK FAMILY THERE WERE OF THE GERMAN BAPTIST FAITH AND ALTHOUGH NONE OF THE DESCENDANTS OF EPHRAIM AND MARGARET SHOCK (MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS) ARE MEMBERS OF THAT CHURCH. THERE ARE STILL SOME HERE IN THE MIAMI VALLEY... MOST OF US DO NOT BEAR THE SHOCK NAME, HOWEVER. EPHRAIM HAD A TWIN BROTHER NAMED LABAN. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEIR PARENTS NAMES WERE. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
