Henry Shock m. Elizabeth c.1768.
Elizabeth is found in Lancaster,PA. and d/o Erasmus Holtzapfel (bp 22Sept1710) in Eschelbach. His parents were Anna Barbara and Hans Lenhart Holtzapfel and arrive 1731 on the "Brittan". Also, Holtzapfel has a variant spelling of Holsapple.
This information was obtained from a very informative book by Larry Shuck. He states that Henry Shock and a few of his descendants are defined in a book by Fern MINNEY titled "The Family Album". Mr. Shuck's book has a vast array of information concerning the Shuck; Shock; Shook; Shuck; Schock; etc. surnames.
For someone like myself without the luxury of family bibles, etc. these publications can be invaluable. Several sites on the net provide lists of such publications.
