Gladys Shockey, 101, Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center, LaFontaine, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the nursing home.
She was formerly of 6066N 500W, Marion.
She was born June 5, 1904, in Converse to Martin and Viola (Rennaker) Renbarger. She married Leroy Shockey in 1947 and he passed away in 1971.
She worked at the Troyer Library, LaFontaine, and was a homemaker on the farm. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Somerset, where she taught adult Sunday school for 15 years.
She is survived a close family friend, John Bozell, Marion.
Three sisters, a halfsister and a halfbrother also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, with Ted Batson officiating. Burial will be in Converse Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday, May 25, at the church.
