Krystal, I am a branch of the Arkansas Shockleys. My grandparents, Charly Oscar Shockley and Mary Etta Wright Shockley, lived at Manila, Arkansas all of my life. Like you, I have been trying to track his side of the family. I don't even know his parents names. My father said he thought his grandfather Shockey's name was Tom (probably Thomas). From what I can find out Tom was married twice and was told the second wife was Rose..... Supposedly, my grandfather had a brother named Sam (probably Samuel). My dad (he is now 92 and still with us) believes they were actually from Missouri, right around the Arkansas state line. I have always thought there was indian blood there somewhere. My grandfather and my dad look like native american indians with black hair and red skin. My father even has an indian nickname. Maybe together we can put some pieces of the puzzle together... Tks for the data. Judy Shockley
