Who is Elijah Shockley? Capt. Elijah Shockley b.1750's, served in Rev. War, resident of Worcester County, Md. Bought and sold numerous parcels of land. Had wife Sarah. Some think he had 3 sons. Deed of 1806, Bk.Y, page 563, he "signs" his name Capt. Elijah E.S. Shockley. Now in other deeds we have a Elijah son of Benjamin, who cannot sign his name. Elijah of Benjamin, has a will in 1847, he mentions daughters,Nancy Morris,Sally Briddle, Henny Round,William E., son-in-law Rackliff Morris, and grandson Elijah Warner Morris. WHO were children of Capt Elijah, when did he die, and is there a will? Now in Solomon Shockley will 1823, Elijah is Adm. and 2 son listed Elijah and Solomon. In anothe Solomon estate, 2/17/1838 a Elijah Purnell is listed as adm. and a son as well as James H.
Can someone help to sort these people into proper families>
