I can't find proof of anything concerning the evasive George. He was suppose to be a Rev. Soldier, but I can't find proof of even that. There's a David Shoffner (circa 1788-1860) in Morgan Co., In. who is supposedly George's son. Also, George Shoffner,(jr.) (circa 1790-) went to Morgan. He doesn't appear on the 1830 census (or any other In. census), but his wife Elizabeth does~along with 7 kids. So, appears Geo. Jr. died before 1830.
