Dear Shoffners Who Are Interested:

I have two books on Shoffners. The Margaret Shoffner DeMoss history, and the book, THE HISTORY OF LAWRENCE, JACKSON, INDEPENDENCE, AND STONE COUNTIES OF THE THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT OF ARKANSAS by S. W. Stockard (also out of print). Both have information on Shoffners.

My family line comes out of Anaias Ephriam Shoffner who left North Carolina in the 1840's and moved to Arkansas. Great Uncles and Aunts were William H. Shoffner, Sigmund Shoffner, Charlie Shoffner. Queenie Shoffner was my great grandmother. Cousins are: Marjory, Hazel, Johnnie, Mann, Elmo, and James.

Anything further, let me know. Apparently, from comments I have heard from a cousin, Winston Salem NC has a German Immigrant Archives which is filled with Shoffners. There was also a General Shifty Shoffner from Shelbyville, Tenn. who fought in the Revolutionary War.

If you, or another reader have any more information, please let me know. Thanks.
