This post concerns Samuel Schoffstall, his wife Elisabeth and their family of Lykens, Dauphin co, PA

Church records from the typescript at LDS of Klinger's Union Church, p 55, lists the following:

Samel /sic/ Schoffstall

Nov. 18, 1833
June 22, 1834

John Schmelz

This Elisabeth born 1833 might be my great grandmother Elizabeth Shoafstall who married Michael Bernhart /sic/ of Llewellyn in 1862. She has been my brick wall for more than 10 years. My only record of her is in the 1870 census for Llewellyn, Schuylkill county, where she was born about 1832.

I find it unusual that the birth and christening dates listed for Elisabeth are the same as for John, the son of Samuel Schoffstall and Elisabeth. A twin??
