Hi Bill

I am trying to trace my PERDEAUX/PURDEAUX
O'CONNOR family in Ballineen, County Cork.
I know this is a long shot and your family were not Catholic. However...
I have a baptism in the Catholic Church
at Enniskeane which is the twin town of Ballineen and the church were Ballineen Catholics attended.

bap. 21 Dec 1855 Michael O'CONNOR son of
Michael O'CONNOR and Mary PURDEAUX
Sponsors - John and Mary SHORTEN

Do you know if a "sponsor" was a godmother
or godfather? Is there a remote possibility that these SHORTEN couple are
related to you?

I would be very glad to know what you think.
