Dear Becky
I just dropped by to see the new messages. I have a bit of information for you. Kilbrogan is one of the two Church of Ireland (Protestant) parishes that the town of Bandon in county Cork is divided into. It was on the north side of the Bandon river. I have somey records - rather sketchy I am afraid - of some Stephen Shortens in Bandon and the surrounding area in the nineteenth century. Do you have access to the CD version of Griffiths Valuation as I belive that one of them is mentioned there. I'll close this message now but will be in touch later with more Stephen Shorten details in due course.
Best wishes
Kate Firth
