Hi Jane, I am very excited to see your post, although I guess it has cobwebs on it, it shows how long ago I last checked this site !!!! anyway, the reason I am so excited is because you give that you a related to the Ballingeary Shortens, at last some of my own, I have been in touch over the years with many people searching the Shortens from and around Co Cork but never Ballingeary, my e mail is I would love to hear from you, I have been researching this line which is my maternal grandfathers line, for some considerable time and am more than happy to share all I have, you say your dad was Donald, I admit I do not have a donald on my list but certainly many William's. Which generation do you fit into, it would be really great to hear from you, Happy Easter by the way, and no this is not an April fool !! hope to hear from you soon, Margaret
