Does anyone have a complete list of the children of Johan Jacob and Barbara Shroyer? I believe my ancestor, Margaret Shroyer b. ca 1796 may be an unidentifed daughter. She married Adam Knepp about 1818. In 1850 this family was living in Mifflin County, PA. Adam drowned in 1857 and in 1864 Margaret along with some of her adult children settled in St. Joseph County Michigan. Margaret and one of her daughters then for some reason went to Iowa for a few years before returning to St. Joseph county where she died. In The 1830 Census of Centre County - Haines Township several Shroyer familes are living very close to several Wenrich (Wenrick) families that are connected to this family and also have moved over to Mifflin County by 1850.

Although, my Grandmother (daughter of Samuel and Barbara Knepp (daughter of Margaret Shroyer) Shunk died before I was born, some 35 years ago, when I started my quest for my ancestors a cousin was very emphatic that Grandma had told them as children that she was "part Indian." I have not taken any creedance in this statement at all but now in search for Margaret Shroyer's parents I find the Shawnee Indian Chief Story and am wondering if that was a correct statement.
