Can anyone help me with the parentage of Jacob Shroyer, born Sept. 23, 1811 in Northcumberland Co., Pa.? He and Susan Bonebrake were my gr-gr-grandparents. I am also looking for information on their children. Their son, Daniel, was my gr-grandfather and we know very little about him. I know he married Mary Hartcrater, Feb.7, 1865 in Huntington, In. and the children we know of from this marriage were Axey Ann Schroyer (Waybill), Mary Salecta Shroyer, Rachel M. Shroyer, and Samuel Daniel Shroyer, (my grandfather). The children were all born between 1865-1873/75 in Huntington, In. I have been told that Daniel and Mary (Hartcrater) Shroyer possibly died before 1880 and the children were left orphans. We know Mary Salecta and Rachel went to live with other families in Noble Co., In. We do not know where My grandfather or his sister Axey spent their childhood or with whom. Axey eventually made her home in Michigan, Samuel in St. Louis, Mo. I know my gr-gr grandparents died in Noble Co., In.If anyone has any information on this family I would love to hear from you. We would love to know more about our gr-grandparents and gr-gr-grandparents. I cannot find much information on them at all. Thank you so much for your help. Charlotte Schroyer Antonic 03/17/2009
