Gibbon, Isaac, wife Mary, Cont. Line, (PA) applied 1818, Shenandoah County, VA., aged 61.He was born 13 March 1757 and in 1818, he was living with his son-in law-Abraham Shue. Soldier enlisted at Easton, Northampton County, PA. He married Mary "Gongwer"28 Dec. 1782 at Allentown, PA, and she was born 14 Nov 1760. Soldier died in Dec. 1826 Shenandoah Co.VA. Widow applied at Rockingham Co., VA., 1839. On 16 March 1840 a son Samuel applied for BLW for himself and other surviving children, John born 1784, Abel, 1786, Samuel no birth date given, Mary, born 1788 and she married Peter Hennenbeger, George, born 1790, Lucy born 1793, she married George Keffer, "Christena" born 180 and she married Henry Hammer, Elizabeth born 1803, Susan born (not date given) married Abraham Shue, Sally who married James Tribbet, an Elizabeth Armstrong, al were shown as surviving children.

Shue, Philip, or Philip Shoe, married Mary Ann (Bushong) 5 Sept 1811 Columbiana County, Ohio. Soldier died 17 or 19 of Sep. 1869 Wood County, Ohio. Widow died 5 Sep. 1883.

Shue, Ephraim Whitmeyer, proprietor of the Kindig House on North Prince Street, is descened from an old PA family . His great grandfather (John Shue) having been among the early settlers who came from Germany.

The grandfather, also named John Shue, was born near White Oak, Lancaster County, he married a Miss "Motter" and their son Jacob. became the father of Ephraim W. Shue.

Jacob married Priscilla Witmer, a d/o William. They had 9 children; Samuel F., a cigar maker. Harvey a cigar maker, Jacob who lived in Reading, Berks Co., Reuben of IL., Ephraim W., Albert, of Lakewood, NJ., Alice the wife of George J. Yetter of Phila., and Emma, the wife of Rue McKelvy of Lakewood, NJ.

Ephraim W., married Susan Frankfort, a d/o Philip. Children; Frank, Harry, Scott, Charles and Ephriam W. Jr.
