Who is this John Shue if not one in Pope Co. AR?

I have a deed from Deed book 14 page 148 in Montgomery Co. NC which is signed by the legatees of Hardy Hatley on 03 Apr 1838. Those who signed this deed are:
Hastin Hatley, executor
Nelson Shue (Husband of Martha Hatley)
John Cariker (Husband of Matilda Hatley)
Coonrod Eudy (Husband of Elizabeth Hatley)
Wiley Hatley
Hez. Herrin (Husband of Emelia, (Amelia, Milly) Hatley)
John Shue (Husband of Nancy Hatley)
Martin Almond (Husband of Mary "Polly" Hatley)

I had always thought that Nelson and John Shue were brothers and married sisters. Who is this John Shue?
