To whom it concerns:
I wrote the article on the Shoe/Shue families of Cabarrus/Stanley County. Since we were allowed a certain number of articles in the Cabarrus Heritage book, I had to use the names of the person I had done the research for. thus Wayne Shoe. I am not a Shoe/Shue, have done much research on the Shoes since I did the work for Wayne.
Shoe and Shue is the same family. Shuch is the German spelling.

My mistake in the John Shue married to Nancy Hartley. This was in my notes and since I found I was wrong. contact Trent for info on John Shue son of John Shue/Shoe and migrated to Arkansas. His wife was a Nancy Gibson. I gave Trent his Shoe info earlier this year.
I will contact Charlotte as I also suppied her with the info.

The John Shunck that you mentioned is not Shue/Shoe, but was englishized into DUKE. The other info you have is correct. He married a Misenheimer and came from PA with his wife's parents and settled in Cabarrus County. This family is mine.

The Hinson book of which I have a copy does have a lot of mistakes.

If you need any additional info, you can also reach me by
