I don’t know if I can be of any help on that. From my relatives, I have always heard that we had some Cherokee blood, due to marriages. I can say that at all the funerals there used to be a very clearly Native American lady that attended. Dad died when I was only 12, and I lost touch with so many of his side of the family.
FYI, I'll post some of the names of my Uncles and Aunts, in case they might be of help to anyone.
Grandfather was Lawrence Ferro (sp) Shue
Grandmother was Lucy Evans
Dad was Eddie Clifton Shue (Sr.)
One Uncle Abe (pronounced like the stomach muscle)
Aunts, deceased, Nora, Lillie, Susie, Alma.
Aunt’s still living, Mary and Allie.
Grand pa was called “The Dutchman”, which was common for people that had a German background in his day.
Hope someone finds something useful in this post.
