well... your family is not the only "mexican" sias. my maternal grandmother's name was Ruth Antonia Sias and she was born in Los Angeles, and her father was Josť Sias. But my grandma's family also has roots in texas. I have heard from multiple sources that Sias is an anglicized name for Sieyes, which is a french surname, but it can also be a variant of the spanish name Siaz.
