My dad's father was Vicente Nevarez Sias, born 1911, El Paso, TX. Grandfather's mom was Agostina Nevarez. We know she had Tarahumara Indian lineage because she spent some time living on an Indian reservation in TX. About 99% of all living Tarahumara Indians now live near the upper elevated mountain regions of Copper Canyon near Chihuahua, Mex. Very isolated and still very traditional. But we can't find any birth, death or census records with her info. We know absolutely nothing about Vicente's dad. We only know his last name was Sias and his son Vicente was born in El Paso, TX. We speculate he had some connection to Chihuahua Mex, but we can't find any info. His first name might have been Guadalupe, but that's still a guess. It seems very difficult to find any birth or death records of anyone born in Mex during the 19th century. I guess you would need to be in Mex or have a special connection. On the other hand, he might have been born in the U.S. Again, only speculation. I've found similar names, with geographic proximities in Tex and New Mex, but nothing certain. His first name might be Guadalupe, Vicente or Juan and born around 1880 or 1890 ish.
I know this is a needle in the haystack and a shot in the dark, but thought I'd give it a try. Any advice would be appreciated. firstname.lastname@example.org
