Sara, I have that very document. I have been totally unable to locate a the village of Waldeck in Holstein. I did locate two Waldeck(s) in Mecklenberg but a German geneologist did some research and said that neither of these places were that village of Siecke. One of those Waldeck(s) was near Schwerin were most of my relative came from so I was hoping that it was the correct village but it wasn't. I did find a village name Siecke southeast of Luneburg but I do not know of it's history. I have history on my family back to 1704 if you think I can fill in any information please let me know. My family spell the name Sick but there was one son some generations back that changed it to Sieck. Interesting that you had the same story I had. --Eric--
