Siecks in America by William M. Sieck

My maternal grandmother was the niece of the compiler of "Siecks in America" Wm. M. Sieck (b.1891). He obtained the records of Sieck families by writing to Sieck addresses available at the public library. He was not a genealogist per se...just interested in making a record of the family name. To my knowledge, the people discussed on his family page are not related to any of the other Siecks listed in his compilation. I started working on my Sieck family tree a few years ago & have found that Wm. M. Sieck's grandfather (Joseph Peter) married Caroline Lagemann & that they left Mettingen, Westfalen in 1846. I have other records before & after that event, but am in no way finished with my research. I'll be happy to chat !!!
