Conrad and Elizabeth Sieg
Posted by: Gary Stolz (ID *****0849) Date: September 24, 2010 at 06:03:51

My great grandmother on my Father's side of the family was Amelia Sieg. She was born in Catasauqua, PA in 1856. She married Henry W. Stolz around 1880.

Amelia's parents were Conrad and Elizabeth. Conrad was born in 1820 and Elizabeth was born in 1830. Both Conrad and Elizabeth were born in Wurttemberg Germany.

On the 1850 census, Conrad is listed as living in Hanover Township, PA. The area he lived in is now Catasauqua. Elizabeth is not shown on the 1850 census, or at least not with the last name Sieg.

I'm trying to determine when Conrad and Elizabeth were married and when they arrived in America from Germany. I'm also trying to find out what Elizabeth's maiden name was.

If anyone has any information regarding Conrad and Elizabeth Sieg I would appreciate it very much if you could respond to this posting.

Thanks,
Gary Stolz
