Anita is my dads cousin, I couldn't help wanted to send this message. Are you related to the Terronez family that established Hero Park, because that is the Terronez family that we know of in Illinois. Michael Terronez, the son to John Terronez who recently passed not tooo long ago, is the Terronez who made contact with us in California.

please let me know how your search is going. I happen to believe that from the story that Michael told me that your family is part of the group of brothers who migrated north from Guanajuato, mexico and that thereafter, there was a dispersion between Texas and Illinois. the Texas part of the Family then branched out too the San Joaquin Valley of California.

By the way my father's name is Simon Vargas Terronez born in Cameron Texas 1925 (Anita's first cousin.)

I know that my Uncle Gabe was born in Guanajuato somewhere during the depression when my father's family went back to Guanajuato, Mexico to live.

max
