I find the family of Thomas and Alice Sigman in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 censuses for the Glade District of Webster County, WV. Both Thomas and Alice were still alive in 1920. In 1900, George and Alcinda Thomas are also in the Glade District of Webster County. I could not find this Thomas Sigman in 1880 in any state. In 1870 in the Poca Township of Kanawa County, there was a John Sigmon, age 53, born in VA with a son Thomas, age 9, born in VA,now WV plus a number of other children, both older and younger than Thomas. I did not find this Thomas in 1860 in VA. There was a Thomas, age 41, but the children's names did not match the older children in 1870. Most of the VA Sigmans/Sigmons were from Franklin and Montgomery Counties.
I accessed the census records via HeritageQuest. If you do not have HeritageQuest available, contact me privately and I will give you the details.
