The Siler your looking for is not, John son of Phillip who was the son of Plickard. I have his estate records and guardian bonds from the "NC State Archives" and he clearly died in NC in August to November 1821. Also he is stated as dead in Phillip's will of which I have a copy" from the NC State Archives". Nor is he Plickard's son John (if it is accepted that Theo and A.O. Siler's work is correct)of which I can nether prove or disprove at this time. I have a John Siler dieing here in Chatham County, NC in 1791, and Phillip's son John becoming guardian of the children Elisha, and Elizabeth. Again I have copys of the estate and guardian bonds from the NC State Archives.

So I can be certain that the two John Silers I have described are not yours. I just wanted to make sure that you did not loose time researching on these two who I am working on now.
On another note I have New information on Elisha Siler Son of John Siler He Died July 24 1864 in Moore County North Carolina and has a obituary in the Fayetville newspaper printed on August 1st 1864.

Thanks
Donald Johnson
