JONES, John Thomas Sr. age 87 of Dayton, passed away July 2, 2007, at home. Tom was born November 18, 1919 in Whitley County, KY, son of the late Bob L. and Laura (Siler) Jones. He served in the Civil Conservation Corps., was a longtime employee of McCall Corporation/Dayton Press and was a proud member and officer of I.B.B. Local 199. Tom is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Tom, Jr. (Shelly) of Knoxville, TN and Danny of Union; grandchildren, Casey and Hannah of Union; special niece and family, Joann, John and J.D. Haley of Springboro; brother, Ernest Jones of Dayton; sisters, Stella Sexton of Englewood and Floretta Perkins of Williamsburg, KY; in-laws, Mary Nell Jones of Englewood, Ann (Bob) Copeland of Huber Heights and Jim (Nancy) Phillips of Jacksboro, TN; many nieces and nephews, including Ken (Darlene) Marcum of Englewood. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ancil, Henry, Dick, Ray and Billy Joe; sisters, Dora, Nannie and Joie. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St., Dayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Alzheimer's Foundation--Miami Valley Chapter ( or Hospice of Dayton (, in Tom's memory.
